There is variety of cooking oils available in the market; sunflower oil, saffola oil, groundnut oil, rice bran oil, Almond oil, Mustard oil, coconut oil, Sesame seed oil, olive oil, etc. Some people also use other types of fats such as ghee for cooking. Ghee is considered to be healthy since ancient times in India. It is also known to have some medicinal properties. It is really interesting to know how ghee is different from various cooking oils!
The basic difference in these two types of fats lies in the amount of cholesterol in them. Ghee is prepared from boiling and clarifying the butter (milk fat) i.e. ghee originates from an animal source. Therefore, ghee contains cholesterol.
